Loops of Yarn is a new store in Sumter that offers many varieties of yarn, needles and other supplies along with classes for knitting and crocheting.
Anytime our store is open you are welcome to sit and loop! Come plop
on our chairs and fellowship and loop with other crocheters and
knitters. Yes, there are more of us out there!
Your group can meet in our store. We'd love to schedule your group. The Blessing Weavers of St. Mark's United Methodist Church meets on Thursdays at noon. This group's ministry is making prayer shawls, wraps, baby blankets and throws. These items are prayed over for the specific person and delivered. It is a rewarding ministry for the maker and recipient. Start your own group and let us schedule your group at our store!
If you would like to join a teen club, let us know. We have a few young ladies that would like to schedule time to meet each week. Join the Teen Club.
Come Loop, Laugh and Learn with us!

Mission Project - Gear up for Learning
Gear Up for Learning is a BIG part of our summer. Gear Up is a ministry of United Ministries of Sumter County. It began in the summer of 1997. Gear Up places new school supplies in the hands of our communities children in need. Last year Gear Up placed over 1890 bags of supplies in our schools for children Kindergarten age thru 12th grade. We will have a box to collect school supplies for Gear Up in our store. We encourage you to get involved. Get your church or group involved. Sponsor an item! Help us increase that number this year! Buy school supplies and drop them in our box. We can also tell you how to get involved the two weeks in August that the supplies are sorted and bagged. Keep Gear Up in your prayers.
It truly is a GREAT ministry. For a complete list of supplies for Gear Up for Learning, check out United Ministries website at www.unitedministriessumter.org Click on the Special Projects page.
Be devoted to one another in brotherly love.
Honor one another above yourselves.
